#KINGDOM HEARTS PC BACKGROUND SERIES#
The series has achieved a cult following, largely in part due to its unusual and rather absurd combination, music (both the soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura and its theme songs such as "Simple and Clean" by Utada Hikaru), and complex narrative. While the story is mainly centered around original characters, it also serves as a crossover between Square Enix properties such as Final Fantasy and The World Ends With You, and multiple Disney franchises such as the Disney Princesses, films from its animated catalog such as Peter Pan and Big Hero 6, live-action films Pirates of the Caribbean and TRON, Pixar's Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., classic Mickey Mouse shorts like Steamboat Willie, and Winnie the Pooh. As the story progresses, new characters are introduced as more of Sora and his friends' destinies are revealed, including their ties to the Keyblade and their battles against Organization XIII and its leader, Xenahort, as well as the looming Keyblade War that awaits them. Along the way, he is aided by Disney characters Goofy and Donald (under the orders of King Mickey) as they travel to multiple worlds based on various Disney feature films that have been taken over by dark creatures called the Heartless. The games follow the story of a young boy named Sora, the destined wielder of a legendary weapon known as the Keyblade, and his adventures to save the universe and find his close friends Riku and Kairi. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory (2020) Kingdom Hearts is a series of action-JRPG video games created by Shinji Hashimoto and Tetsuya Nomura, developed and published by Square Enix, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company.
